Alistair Howard

Alistair Howard is Professor of Political Science (Instructional) at Temple University, where he has taught since 2000. He delivers a broad range of undergraduate courses in political economy, comparative politics, public policy, and political ideology, and has taught graduate courses at the Fels Institute of Government (Public Management), the Fox School of Business (Global Business Regulation), and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (Nations, Politics, & Markets). His doctorate in political science is from George Washington University, where he wrote about corporate governance reform in Britain. He read Philosophy Politics and Economics at Hertford College, Oxford (matric. 1985). His real world experience includes several years analyzing energy policy in Washington DC, three years as Chief Academic Officer of Temple University’s Japan Campus, and ongoing efforts to renovate his century-old house.
